The purpose of MithraNet social network is to discuss the beliefs, practices and history of the various Religion of Light communities, to share news and events that affect the same communities or that affect the friends of Religion of Light adherents, and to encourage one another in a friendly, loving environment. Our social network is open to all people who have a serious interest in our communities and would like to know more about the Religion of Light.
We are very happy to answer all questions people may have, we only ask that you please show respect for our faith. This way we do not have to ban anyone from the site.
Part of this respect is shown by never speaking offensively about our God, the Living Spirit, Mithra, Yisho Ziwa (Jesus the Splendour), Mir Izgadda (the Third Messenger), the Prophet Mani, Buddha Moni, Ajan Jyoti, Narayana, Manikkavasagar and so on.
This site is sponsored and administrated by various adherents of the Religion of Light communities.
By using this site, you understand that you are using a Religion of Light operated network by, for and about the Religion of Light. That having been said, you agree to abide by the rules of this site.
Questions can be offered to gain understanding, however, not in an accusatory or disrespectful tone.
Those participating on MithraNet are not required to believe what adherents of the Religion of Light believe, but users are definitely required to accord us the respect you would offer to any other world religion.
Any derogatory statement or attitudes towards our God, our Third Messenger, our Prophet Mani, the leadership of our various communities, or towards our beliefs in general, may result in removal from the site. We understand that not everyone understands all of the terminology used by our spiritual communities. With that being said, please accord respect toward those with the names or titles “Mir,” “Mar” and anyone with the name “Tarendra.” In some cases, those with these names or titles are spiritual heads of various communities within the Religion of Light.
Since this is strictly a Religion of Light site, the promoting of other religions or other spiritual groups, or unapproved businesses is not permitted on MithraNet; however, there is a group on the site that permits friendly discussion between Religion of Light adherents and persons of other religions. However, with that being said, MithraNet is not a place for debates or arguments.
MithraNet is a religious social network, not a neutral site. Those who are not Religion of Light adherents are guests here. Participants understand that MithraNet is not a Christian site to dissect the Religion of Light from the Christian viewpoint; it is not an occult site, a new age site or a unitarian, interdenominational site. The Religion of Light does not teach that “all paths lead to the one.”
If you are not sure what we believe, you can learn more by asking questions on the site, or by visiting official Religion of Light websites.
